The Black With Color Controversy

Well, last night I told you all what I was wearing. I was so tired that I did not post to my blog. So, here it is black with color. Love it or hate it. I actually like this color with grey best. It was truck day though, and the color, or non-color that is best to wear to reduce clothing damage and staining is black. I have also done this blouse with navy.

Ding Dong! Avon Lady Calling!

So this is my dress that I got a year or so ago. An employee of mine was selling Avon, and I would help her out and buy things every month. You see how much I wear makeup, so that must tell you how sweet (or stupid) I am that I would always buy makeup from her. ;p She need the extra income. Anyway, they had this dress in their catalog, and you know me and blue, and I am not one to shy away from color or a pattern that I like, so I ordered it. This, my friends, is my first wrap dress. (faux wrap) This would be the one that started the ball rolling, the dress that opened the flood gates, the one that triggered the "itch" for my dresses. Behold. The Avon Dress.

Cobalt Blue, Baby!

I love blue, and cobalt is one of my favorite blues. It is a strapless dress from BMoss, and I added the belt, from Walmart, ballet leather shoes are also from Wallyworld, vintage cardi, blue earrings from England. The ones I posted on this blog, that I got while in the Cotswolds.

Stopped By Talbot's Today



I bought this skirt today at Talbot's and it has some nice colors in it. That nice rose red, salmon, black, and the green in my top, and pink.

I tried on a petite and a regular. I know, I know, you will all say I should have gotten the shorter one, but this hits just below my knee. The other, showed my knee caps, and it wasn't pretty.




For my outfit today I wore this sweater, a pair of really long jeans over a the high, brown wedges you see in the photos, and my LV ellipse bag. I did not have another shirt with me, to show you with the skirt, so it had to do.

I saw this dress on a form and had to try it on. I am not sure if the pictures of me standing in the tub are doing it any justice, but I think it looks nice. My grandma would have killed me if she saw me in that tub with my shoes on!

They also had a fushia, orange and chocolate stripe dress I liked. If that sucker in a 6 petite makes it on sale, it will be mine.

Last week my grandmother said that I looked like I was getting chubby, today she asked if I lost any weight.

Go figure?!

She is letting me borrow a nice string of pearls that she has for a little while. They are shorter and lovely, of course.

LOTS TO SHOW TODAY

Today's outfit was a pair of Levis, brown and peach Fashion Bug top, pink and peach necklace, Steve Madden "Precious" shoe in brown, and LV ellipse bag. Not sure If I ever posted a picture of that bag before.

This would be the niece's pretty dress for a frou frou thing that she has. I cannot believe that she is only thriteen. It kills me.

It has really pretty embroidery down the front.

Just in case you did not know, a cute little black and white dress is never really complete without a little Rottie eye snot. You are jealous, I know, 'cause I got some Woola eye snot and you did not.

The dress minus Woola and the eye snot. I saw this at BMoss and thought it was really cute. It was a whopping $27.99.

AND whadd'ya think? Will this pass muster for the wedding?

I did not have the shoes and the bag at my parent's. Can I still wear the bone shoe and carry the bone bag? I am pretty pasty and the bone blends in with my leg and it gives that long leg look.

Beautiful SPRING day!

well it was a beautiful day with may flowers and trees blooming. My favorites were this tree, and the lilacs. It smelled just beautiful, and I also loved my very favorite flower, all little violets popping up.


















The first hair picture is the no 20 Hazelnut. It is too yellow or golden or something. I don't like it.

This is no. 28, Nutmeg. Darker and not yellowy. I like it.

TELL ME THAT MIDDLE GUY DOESN'T LOOK HE WOULD EAT AND SHRED A DRESS.....

So here are the other three kid's bedsides my black and white one, Kiaya. These are the two heelers red, and blue. They are Logan and Blue. The middle guy, is cranky 'ol nasty Bandit. Him blind in one eye...and him nasty. They are great guard dogs out here in the middle of no where.

And over here we have today's outfit. Red, black and white polka dot Fashion Bug shirt, Macy's black, white and red circle and floral skirt, black with white Trim Celeste shoes from Life Stride, and a sterling silver circle necklace, the silver and gold watch and bangle set.

Well, today was a green, white and navy day.

I had a navy cardigan, green and white stripe sweater, and a navy with white polka dots skirt, and navy pumps.

It is a comfortable outfit, and I love the green and navy together

I just kept the multi colored Coach bag with the outfit

since it has that exact green in the bag.

The skirt has a lot of movement when you walk. It's sort of flirty.

The only thing that bugs me in this picture is that you can definitely see that I have gained a lot of my weight back. Well, I can see it. I can see it for about the last month.

Country Bumpkin Gets Her Dress!

I am not smiling in either picture. Well, don't hold back people honest opinons of the dress. Too much in your face boobage? I really do like it. I can tell you that I have never shown that much cleavage.

Today's Dress

Another great buy at Walmart. I have the Vintage cardigan over a navy with very small white polka dots wrap dress. The wrap dress has barely a sleeve, and the top looks more like a sweet heart neckline, since the sleeves have a pleat and a gather above the chest. Has a 40's feel to the dress. I wore it with the Life Stride shoes that I bought a while back, in Luggage with the cork heel. I posted them a while back. Only the 3rd time I am wearing the shoe. I wore it for all 8 hours and I was comfy. I carried the two tone Prada Bag.

These are my clutches. I will be carrying the ivory one for the wedding. Can I use this for the shower too?





























I wore this On Friday to crawl around on the floor with since I was doing some major flipping of shoes. Took me 8 hours to flip and run everything in that was on the floor.

I wore navy and white and I had a wide belt on to cinch in the waist. Started with navy high heeled pumps, but after 6 hours of my 12.5 hour day, I switched to white ballet flats.

This is my back up dress that I always wear to swanky evening stuff. Not the greatest picture. I am sure that everyone has seen this dress in various colors every where. This is black mesh over red for a burgundy effect. I felt that it was too "heavy" for a day wedding.

If it wasn't in NYC and if it was not my brother getting married, I would have worn one of the dresses I already owned. Which would be fine for this area.
